Alert- Opportunity Scholarship Grants 2024-2025

The Opportunity Scholarship Program expanded school choice in North Carolina through scholarship grants for eligible children in Kindergarten through 12th grade. This program provides funding of up to $7,468 per year for eligible children who choose to attend a participating nonpublic school.

The application for next year (2024-25) has CLOSED.

Eligible applications submitted between February 1 – March 1 will we awarded based on household income, starting with Award Tier 1. Scholarships will be offered to families in Award Tiers 2-4 as fund remain available. Depending on the availability of funds the application will still be open after March 1, 2024. All eligible applicants who apply before March 1, 2024, will be entered into a lottery. 2024-2025 recipients will be randomly selected from that pool of applications processed by the Opportunity Scholarship.

Once the account is created you will be asked to log back into your portal and from their you click on Applications and Renewals for K-12th Grade. Make sure you apply for each child within the same application (no need to create multiple accounts).
